Description
SERVER
The primary responsibility of a Server is to greet members upon being seated, convey daily specials, be able to answer questions about the menu (food, beer, wine and liquor), and accurately take orders and enter them into the POS. A server must be able to maintain a calm and hospitable demeanor.
Responsibilities
- Provide immediate and continuous service and attention to all members/guests upon seating, introduce yourself, request members club number.
- Set up and complete assigned side work, including the inspection of all tables.
- Suggestive selling on menu items and highlight specials. Take member and guest orders.
- Place orders with kitchen through Restaurant Manager POS.
- Assist in keeping tables, FOH restaurant and BOH clean at all times.
- Advise supervisor/manager of any complaints and act to resolve complaints.
- Perform clean-up, side work and closing duties as assigned by supervisor/manager.
- Attend pre-meal meetings as requested by supervisor/manager.
- Be active in continuous learning of steps of service, food and beverage knowledge
- Possess clear knowledge of all various liquors, beer, and wines available at the Club
- Assist in managing to-go orders
- Comply with sanitation regulations and safety standards
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and members
About You
- Previous Restaurant Server experience preferred, but not required
- Accuracy in listening, writing and verbalizing what you see and hear
- Ability to smile, be pleasant, and accommodating Be hospitable
- Read English, clearly and neatly write numbers and letters, follow procedures
- You are comfortable working in both indoor and outdoor environments.
